the REIT sector is down by 25% av and those with more debt have been hit hardest eg RAT, REU, RJT, RNY, TSO, MIX RRT and so it is a sectoral thing.
the NTA is irrelevant unless there is a buyer which is not likely for a while, so it is a question as to whether they will continue paying full distributions or cut them.
generally best to assume the market is right before plunging in, but the market may change its mind.
in principle if you buy a spread of the REITs some will bounce back but not others - best to diversify the risk.
as we have seen with Centro anything can happen out of the blue.
