Vretts, The 8 year mine life is for the current open pit. (called reserves)
The indicated and inferred resources add up to another 1.8mt copper plus Gold. That is another 18 year of mine life after the 8.
To convert indicated and inferred into reserves a BFS needs to be done to show that it is profitable to mine.
TB has indicated that with the decline to the new copper deposit created, they will do u/g exploring to begin that assessment of whether to expand open pit or go u/g.
