From the looks of it the price was pushed down significantly from the highs to make this acquisition far appealing and cheaper. Appealing for the acquired as more potential upside in rcg share price and cheaper for rcg with a lower share price.
Obviously less shares would be issued at a higher price but still... This was very strongly manipulated down and now that the cats out of the bag it will jump up.
