    because they sold assets at 50% of where they are valued now. Selling assets may end well fore the sold assets, but the holding company that sells them gets a one off payment, and as in the case of S32, they sold it for 50% off.

    The S32 shareholders did well. I bought under 90c - but my point is that it doesn't really work for the long term BHP holders.
