Just because a company "is a publicly listed company with constant disclosure requirements and obligations" does not mean it automatically "increases its honesty" ... unfortunately i've held a number of ASX listed companies that have had dodgy management that were looking after themselves in clear view of ASX and ASIC who on only one of those occasions very belatedly took some action (which we all know is pretty rare). One of those directors presently in prison. However, it does not happen enough.
