I know on land rigs there are all types of problems that cause delays. I suspect the same here. In addition, they must go slow in the remaining drilling. I think in this case, "no news is good news".
The cost per day to operate a rig is substantial. If there was bad news (and they would be the first to know), they would try to reduce cost and try to gain as much information before closing the hole.
COP is down a little this morning on the DOW. I have noticed about a US$.50 per share increase. Volume is stable.
I am trying to buy KAR at US$8.50.
