What is Halal?, page-4

This is literally the modern day equivalent of the Kosher tax debate, which was much bigger back when all the bigots were more focussed on Jews. But of course its Islam's turn now so we need to go through this all over again.

This is a free market mechanism. Kosher and Halal certs make up the tiniest fraction of the cost of your food. It is literally miniscule. If we were to not certify common foods as Halal or Kosher, then new brands would come up to fill this gap in the market.

The end result would be that EVERYBODY pays more for their food.

I cant believe we need to explain this on a stock trading forum.

And no, Tony isnt going to stop the 'Halal Tax' for exactly the reasons I stated above. As much as he loves to stir ethnic division, he loves money much much more.
