Actually the worst case scenario is that the directors keep milking any surplus cash and keep paying themselves huge salaries for the next couple of years.
The depletion rates continue to be so high that its not viable to keep drilling new wells at current POO and the company eventually runs out of cash and goes broke.
The directors then either retire to a nice retirement property on an expensive beach somewhere or become directors in another oil company and milk that one too.
