Morning Geeris, and thanks for your thoughtful posts, always a good read, your post 61303806 got it in one, I'm not sure I can add much more of accurate value to what's already been said but for what its worth along with my gut feel and observations: I didn't see a clear indication that they was pitching to anyone person/body/organisation in particular, I got the impression that they would sit down to discuss/collaborate with anyone. From the 650 applicants applying for recent advertised roles I think it was Matthew who said most of the applicants were already following Archer because they wanted to be involved and I got the distinct impression that Mo, Martin and Matthew know that applies to any of the big names who matter i.e. those entities are already following Archer closely, its not a matter Archer chasing anyone it will be a matter of fending them off. Another observations which added to that: I was sitting in the fourth row in the Auditorium and as such heard a few snippets of conversation, one was in respect to a CR to which Mo said No need, we have plenty of cash and World class facilities at our disposal that we didn't need to spend money on GUT FEELING I came away with the impression that the SP was secondary, they will take care of developing the tech and the SP will take care of itself. Money was not a driver, it is the melding of the minds along with talent which are their biggest need. Archer wont need to chase anyone if all goes to plan, it will be others chasing Archer OBSERVATIONS I glanced around the Auditorium to gauge the demographic, mostly male, mostly 50+ there was one elderly lady on her own who needed assistance to get to her seat and eagerly listened to the speakers conversation, I would estimate her age to be late 80s or more and couldn't help wonder her interest given that commercialisation could be a way of yet, I guess there was an assortment of people there, some Govt reps, some Uni reps, some business owners perhaps seeing how they may get a foot in the door, mum and dad investors like myself Best advice: any poster that has an opportunity to attend a seminar should most definitely go My take only Cheers DYOR GLTAH
