Yes there was a covid but the main reason why it went to $3 was FOMO as we were getting all those patent news during that time. I remember the first time it went from $0.55 to $1.30 was due to korean/Japan patent approval and then the following day it was FOMO to $3 and then the famous article on financial review by a clown against Archer and then all the way down.
