i just got to work not too long ago and plugged in my computer to my docking station as per usual and away i went. Not long after a manager rocked up and because the dock uses a micro usb, he was able to plug his samsung straight into it and away he went. Teams, office products outlook etc all up on the screen in a very similar to windows looking interface. I was blown away, and straight away got me thinking...the day of travelling with the big laptop really is coming to an end. If all you had to do was carry around your phone and plug in then the only thing really holding back mobiles is the computing power.....
now obviously it takes a lot more than a quantum chip to power a computer or mobile device...but with other forms of ram such as what weebit are doing, surely this is exactly the market that we are aiming at in the very near future. Enter VR glasses and we no longer even need the docking station.
