Not sure what will make the world take notice right now other than big headlines. No one seems to want to delve into the detail behind the headlines.
They will discover that there's no quantum computing approach that can deliver anything useful yet. Some approaches are also too impractical to continue to experiment with. The AXE 12CQ has 2 advantages -1) it can get decent coherence times at room temperature 2) it can scale, meaning increasing numbers of the qubits can be arranged in groups that can contribute to the need for 1000s of qubits to start being more capable than classical computing.

While Martin Fuechsle and Mohammad Choucair have always been confident of the carbon nanospheres and what they can do, even the slightly more curious media coverage is not getting it.
Meanwhile the quantum community who do know what this is about have no access to this qubit material which is protected by some trade secrets in addition to the 12CQ IP . All they can do is wait for AXE to unveil their ability to precision control these qubits. Even with continuous wave ESR, the entire surface of the nanosphere could be addressable. In other words all the quantum superpositions of the qubit can be programmable. But recently with the switch to pulsed ESR, there is now improved precision possible.
The other corresponding milestone is to read out the precise state of a particular qubit .
Further milestones would be to do this much faster. Current quantum hardware systems in the industry are very slow. Takes a while to get a qubit to the right superposition.
And when coherent rotation of qubits is already achieved at temps up to 27C, then AXE has got something very valuable indeed. This temperature advantage is due to the unique properties of the carbon nanomaterial that AXE has sole IP to.

We might have to wait for the world to realise that expending high energy to cool a few qubits down is not a sustainable business model. Meanwhile, a nearer term path way for the 12CQ to get some notice could be in the quantum sensor industry. Until a 12CQ chip with enough qubits is built to run some useful algorithms at room temperature. But will this news excite buyers of AXE shares? Not until this industry matures enough, calms down and realises that we can't market something that we can't even explain yet, at least not in everyday terms.
