jungle w, Welcome back to one of MEO's most regular posters. Sorry Egyptian trip wasnt sparkling success. Cairo airport is a hellhole & chaperone sometimes required. But watching the sun set over the Nile , glass in hand, from the terrace of the WinterPalace Hotel in Luxor, the Cataract in Aswan or the Grand in Khartoum , where you can hear the lions roar next door, is a wonderful experience. I should have warned that the old adage "It costs 5 pounds to get on the camel & ANOTHER 5 pounds to get off" applies to all aspects of travels in Egypt. To avoid the wrath of ever vigilant moderators, I should comment on MEO, which seems to be in a down period at the moment. UNlike some other oilers, e.g. NWE, KAR there does not appear to be any news in the near or medium term future to encourage one. I should have put my MEO funds into other prospects but think longterm is ok.
