There is a whole world of difference between vigorous sports like football, boxing,judo etc and walking and golf. You've quoted extremes kenneth. Most fit 50,60,70+ year olds can succesfully perform lots of activities between those 2 extremes.
I'm nearly 60 and have been running and lifting weights for over 35 years. The last few months I've been hammering the cross trainer in preference to running.
My specialty is outlifting and outperforming younger loudmouths at the gym.
