At the age of 55, overweight and on blood pressure and collestrol tablets I decided to get fit. Joined the local bike club. Most of the members are in their 50's and 60's. Ride at pace about 40 klm's three times a week and 100 klm's once a month. Some of the members are really fit. One guy is 70 and rides like a 25 years old. Really fast and plenty of stamina.
Opened my eyes to how fit the older generations or seniors are and can be. I think it is mind over matter. A person can be fit at any age. I also go to the local gym three days a week and there are plenty of people training, lifting weights in their 60's.
