@Liar I have only now, after living in Anglo countries for most of my life, remembered something from my religion lessons in Primary and High School in Austria - in the German translation of 'Promised Land', Israel is spoken of as the land for the Israelites, but it is never called the 'Promised' but 'Praised Land' (das gelobte Land) - so I do wonder how many words in the Bible have been changed over the years to suit and create a sort of made-to-measure Bible to fit concepts/agendas of the time?
It is known that many translations of the Bible exist and that many concept from ancient times are difficult to translate into modern usage and languages.
Go well
