If I were Brookfield, I would wait for Bodangara to be commissioned (August 2018), and a little of the uncertainty to continue unfolding in the national energy market. Energy prices are still expected to be quite high for the next 3 years, and Political influence on this is also creating some interesting instability. So over the next year I would probably expect IFN to be paying off some more debt, and possibly change in SP some +\_ 10-15% hence nibble away at buying below 80c without attempting to push up the volume. However over say 5-10-20 years IFN could be a perfect springboard to expand some billions of expanding more wind farms. This'll become more and more common (and probably part of every day life). So I definitely think they are positioning for the longer term/ takeover. To do this properly they will be seeking "political" stability ...so would wait for the next election...and if labour wins : full take over version.
