Those that are born again leave behind their earthly bodies and are resurrected as spirit persons in the heavens. This is something God chooses, not something they choose for themselves. John the Baptist will not be born again and taken to heaven.
(Matthew 11:11) Truly I say to you, among those born of women, there has not been raised up anyone greater than John the Baptist, but a lesser person in the Kingdom of the heavens is greater than he is.

Nor will anyone else that died prior to Jesus be raised to spirit life.

(Revelation 1:5) and from Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness,” “the firstborn from the dead,” and “the Ruler of the kings of the earth.” To him who loves us and who set us free from our sins by means of his own blood—

There were others resurrected to life back here on earth ahead of Jesus, but because they were not ''born again'' ,none of these later ascended to heaven. It is for that reason Jesus is described as the ''firstborn'' in the above scripture. He was the first ''born again'' to spirit life in the heavens.

Ionshield, the fact that you have had to ask others is proof you have not been ''born again''. Your hope can be to enjoy everlasting life here on a paradise earth.

(Psalm 37:10, 11) Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.
