Peterinib; I would like to make it clear that I am not happy with the deal, and I have sold half my holdings. If I "sell out" completely I will have no holdings. The deal done by the NHC controlled board has, in my opinion "sold out" smaller holders, and I presume this is your point. My opinion is that NHC will not be selling their share of the merged entity until they have at least made back their overall losses on their DTE shares ownership.(the rules of the offer prevent them selling now anyway as far as I can understand). My opinion is that the IGas/DTE merger is bait to catch a bigger fish, and then NHC and their shareholders will benefit from a takeover of the merged company. I may or may not hang on to the rest of my holdings to see if this eventuates, but in the mean time I have put the proceeds of selling the rest to work.
