Good thing is we don't have to wait for long - the last day of trading TXN shares is 27th Feb (if demerger and merger goes ahead on Monday).

If there is a different proposal to a merger, the third party must show its hand on Monday.

I don't think Macquarie will be buying TXN to get into SEA (they paid 56 cents ie $1,12 equivalent for each SEA shares). It is not insider trading also as institutions are allowed to buy on behalf of predators.

Will they block the demerger and merger going ahead on Monday ? Interesting scenario!!
