What concrete proposals have been put forward for road and rail improvement?New homes is good for the building Industries and are desparately needed recession or no recession.
All school committees I have heard interviewed are keen to build assembly halls and libaries.They will probably paint everything also.
During big droughts governments give tax deductions for dam building,looks good in the city press but is of no use because you do not have a tax problem in big drought years,and there will be no water in it until the drought has broken.
Infastructure that will aid production when this blows over is what is needed,not nonproductive buildings and paint jibs.
About the only ones not to benefit so far are the small businesses who took the gamble and expanded ,creating more jobs when the financial "experts " were saying everything looked great.As each one of these tip over 5 to 100 families will go with them as well as the suppliers to these families.
As most prudent firms have fixed interest rates ,interest cuts have not yet filtered through to them,so some sort of interest subsidy to these firms could save a lot of jobs if this does get out of control
