my understanding is that you pay 0.0005 for the new options - only if you are currently holding the old options(dec 2010). then the old options(dec 2010) will just expire worthless unless u exercise them. so using your example you'll be left with only one parcel of new options, not the old + the new.

I did consider getting loads and loads of options before I got the heads but it was all not clear enough for me.

point taken about getting more leverage with the oppies as price of heads increase. If oppies price drop below 0.015 and resolution is passed, I'll be tempted to get the oopies.
