Unless they have Franking Credits to distribute it's a better solution than me having to give half of that cash to the tax man.
For awhile, AMP has generally paid unfranked dividends of around 80% which is actually a
tangible Income for mum and dad investors.
The mythical BB theory hasn’t increased the dividends or the price from my point of view.
I rather get a higher unfranked dividend in my hand now!
Then gamble with a possibility theoretical future increase in dividend’s or SP or it turning into vaporising of sale funds into thin air.
There must be an immediate benefit for Super funds and the T20 companies for the board
to going along this form of capital return.
Voting is coming up and they need to keep their voting mates in the T20 happy.
