Hopefully you explained to him how it would be different from the Special Dividend they declared in 2020 to return the proceeds of the AMP Life sale, which was fully franked as it was not "capital" from a taxation perspective.
You could then probably explain that to the rest of us, because it really makes no sense how they could do it and satisfy ATO taxation rules.
Otherwise suggest stop wasting their time and let them focus on the job ahead.
