Yes would be about five years - these things take time - certification and etc - the etc is quite important - do not forget we are dealing here with the chicken and the egg - most ballistics developments only need to improve one of the two. The 3GL deal with STK provided a way to adapt current ammunition to be used with MST tech, as I recall, a significant development short cut.
Most likely the US deals will focus on the Picatinny area system but may involve Twin Cities? Though Twin Cities looks like it will be sold off.
Anyway Lee has produced a road map which makes this whole discussion somewhat academic.
