Yes the legal action, particularly the NZ one, will put off many investors going near SVR probably for at least another 12 months. I suspect the operating performance will face greater than expected headwinds with interest rates staying higher for longer although definitely will improve.
Big 4 banks are reporting more signs of stress but that maybe more mortgage related than SVR customer base.
I suspect FY results to be roughly inline with forecasts rather than overshooting as per normal this year.
