Did you know in April 2023, Solvar invested $1.2m, taking a 13.9% share in a little startup called Vyro? It was really hidden away in the recent Annual Report.
It would be great to know the strategy of this investment. According to the article, they have sold 90 cars in 12 months, so not exactly setting the world on fire. I assume we are in this to be a preferred lender, not to make (13% of) a truckload of NPAT.
The experience of the Vyro CEO is that he was a firefighter for the NSW RFS for 5 years.
Colour me sceptical...
