Love your positivity, Goldi, (made me feel better for about half a second) but this is probably the biggest hurdle.
The words "effective" and "leadership" are not in the Board's vocabulary. What's more, I don't believe have yet been shown the respect of being told that efforts are being made to recruit some talent. Oops!!! "effort", "talent" ...two more words which aren't in the Board's vocabulary. Damn, we really are in a hole!!
Perhaps you and I can compile a list of motivating words to forward to the Board. Maybe we'll also get overpaid for a petty contribution???
