I am not from a mining background and maybe that's why I still own these shares.
The discussion is so polarising and perhaps it reflects that this project is binary; the shares will either be worthless in two years or worth plenty.
The analysis they have made public if correct means the project can produce in input that is competitive in the global market. I also realise that the assumptions needs to hold.
The Sentient Group has a great track record, have persisted with this project and from what I can see the project may now make not only from a commercial sense but it is also an environmentally friendlier alternative.
China has changed its approach from pure p&l to improving air quality starting now. This is not rhetoric it is written into the objectives of those who have control in China. It will happen. This to me adds a lot of weight to this project having being involved in China for many years.
