Sorry but let me remind you guys something ......... I am no advisor .... am just happy to let u now the machinations of my spot and oft misunderstood and criticised mind as I play the different timeframes.
My MO is to usually hold sizeable possies in a very select few I consider emerging Olympians according to my own fair value reward / risk parameters and ambitions, allow 2-3 project time frame, and do NOT believe in diversification outside cash at call.
I hold two majors only atm, the King and Queen, with 3 others being "probed". Of course there are no doubt many other nice plays in this big broader market and I certainly have missed plenty but dont ask me my opinion .... if Im not in it with my hard earned I wont talk about it. And if I dont even look at others at any particular time, its because I maintain a strict discipline in what my exposure should be in current global financial and economic uncertainty ...... have plenty of scars from past "looseness" to remind me.
This game is very personal. If I spot something and like it, am happy to discuss it in its thread. Otherwise it becomes academic, so dont ask. Prefer to stay blinkered and true to the cause in here cos counting each move of each degree cos am playing it. Sean whenever I spec any numbers I usually give both sides of the coin. I would be just as happy to buy trading stock at 120 or 190 depending which way first. Market can decide, Im flexible and focused. Meanwhile core parcel remains intact and outa sight until projects' maturities and my expected y2011 "optimum" time target for the precious precious.
Would love to see a billion buck buyout of Skaergaard in y2010+ and a 25 buck per share cap retun ...... wouldnt you? THATS the pot of gold I am looking for with this baby. Everything else is a bonus and keeps us active surfing the waves of various degrees.
Prefer to keep each thread focused otherwise it can lead to a circus and loss of interest in participating. I dont spec anything with big bucks ...... needs to be calculated reward / risk with resources numbers I can bite into. If we get a real market crash leading to prolonged megabear market, reckon 90% of specs will disappear and even them with resources may lose them to bigger fish.
Cos I am a disciple of the GORM, I retain about one-third cash in the portfolio and do not believe in any form of debt right now.
