I too disputed Dargies initial comparison of CVN and PPP.
However Dargie is a well regarded, and credible poster on other forums. I am sure that once he is up to speed on CVN he will make a welcome and valuable contribution here also.
I wouldn't have bothered with AED, never believed them, never rated their approach to project execution either. I stick clear of companies such as ELK,INP and AED with their simulated virtual oil. PPP's Tui is a world class 50mmbo producing project. CVN's NSE is also about as good as it gets imho.
On NPV I would not rely one iota on Fat Prophets. They do not appear to make any reasonable effort to account for fiscal regime - USD35/bbl NPV is too high, even using a 0% discount rate. I'd prefer to half trust analysts such as Bell Potter and Hartleys.
