    The question you ask is all about risk. Here some others..
    Can it be fixed?
    Will mason give up? Can you imagine what he might feels now? Is this a distraction or can he just plow through?
    Who cares? Has his mates sold him out?
    If it can be, will it be too late?
    Are there new techs that make wbt's obsolete?
    Can Purdue articulate the software?
    And lots more im sure. :-(
