great post Retska. I believe that Silver and gold are nothing more than a play on the USD. The nonsense sprouted regarding JPM makes me laugh. Most these types of stories are given legs by the hedge funds that have speculative longs. Just remember who have large stakes in these hedge funds - that's correct - the big banks.
Let's even consider for a moment that JPM was purely short Silver. having had dealings with investment banks, they would have hedged their exposure through other instruments I.e short the USD.
In essence what I am saying is that if you like silver, like it owing to fundamentals you believe in and your views on the USD, not because of some nonsense regarding big banks manipulating and conspiracy theories.
One last thing - a margin increase by the trading houses effects both the longs and shorts and the subsequent movement is an indication as to where the hot money is..
