Crossed trades (buyer and seller have same broker so jump the queue) are an excellent way to create the impression of volume. Just get a broker to work exclusively for you for the purposes of dealing in the target stock, then execute buy and sell trades between your own accounts. Because of the crossed trade rules, your bids and offers will jump the queue and find each other before any legitimate buyers and sellers with other brokers.
