My two bobs worth, the key to any bulk commodity is infrasrtucture. FAS are within 20km of an existing railway line which i believe has latent capacity which they could truck to at minimal cost. The capital cost of bulding a railway line is of the magnitude $2 to $3 Million per km. The freight cost once on the rail network is likely to be of the magnitude 1.5 to 3.5 cents per tonne km. The distance to Esperance is as such more than compensated by the proximity to infrastructure. The FAS product does not appear to be of the quality of the BHP/RIO pilbara spec but many producers are in the same boat and sell at a discount.
