actually, it depends on what "enlightenment" leads to
for example, in the 18th century, the Age of Enlightenment culminated in the violence of the French Revolution
many wish to believe they are "enlightened" so the feel special about themselves
my idea of enlightenment is it leads to peace of mind is all circumstances, including the worst, such as sickness, death, loss, etc
so what about you?
what does your version of "enlightenment" lead to, apart from a big fat ego, ripe for popping & suffering?
