I agree with the principle however you are way off on the details. ATO and federal police should be investigating money laundering the casino should just provide them with information as required. ICC is purely to police casinos in NSW and they make sure they comply with all regulations. However nobody polices clubs or pubs except for liquor and gaming which also police casinos. Do banks face the same problems? they face some of the same problems as far as vet clients based on Money laundering however it is much easier for them as they have access to the person's tax file number employer and bank statements and other very personal information. However in the case of a bank a person virtually has no choice but to do business with them if they want a bank account or a mortgage.
