Hmmm, If old mate cannot hit the cap (cos basically they only have 1M bucks in total) then I am unsure what all the dancing is about. ie, if not hitting TBC then who cares about the rest of it, pull it out and put it back. But I am a simple person of simple mind and probably confused..... unless the thoughts are about getting some from someone else later....... sad but it happens. Then it becomes a very specific set of calculations.
Of course, any restructure is always about the outcome..... always altruistic and for a better retirement.... always about getting and having a better retirement.... never about tax positioning (that tax change just happened as a consequence of the desired outcomes) .
