My take on the Book of Revelation is that is was addressed to 7 existing churches at the time of writing and was intended to provided comfort to Christians under persecution at the time.
In my view it can be seen by Christians as relevant at any time when applied to those under persecution.

I don't see any support for the notion that it is supposed to predict the future 2,000 years after it was written. If Watchtower predictions could be shown to have come true there may be a case, but the fact that predictions have to continuously be revisited means, IMO, they have got it wrong.

Even the one that they claim to have been fulfilled (WW1) is doubtful.

I think that it is time to move on.
