It is highly unlikely there will be alternative wine markets of comparable size, margins etc to China anytime soon. So a bet on TWE at its current price is essentially a bet on whether the same politicians who brought about the current ill feeling can also repair the situation in a short to medium time frame. All current and past indications are that they are not up to the challenge. Australian politicians have not adapted to new political and economic realities.
