On the whole I think it is. More capital will be needed in the future and it is easier to raise this from deep pockets than from us poor peasants. It is also an indication that people outside the greenies are starting to see the economic potential and that gives it a greater chance of success, and also adds more political lobby power.

The only downside is that some may be aiming at a takeover. Fine if you just want a quick profit but bad for Australias longer term interest. New owners may decide there is better returns by using the technology overseas and put cooper basin on the back burner.
