Even if I can't get exact letters in regards to no value I always make the effort to document why I have written stuff down and why I claimed capital loss. Usually no response to emails / letters sent to receivers /liquidators and a screen print of their webpage etc. At least Tax office then sees you made a effort.
It really pisses me off as years ago it was agreed that ASIC had to be informed of company status etc and letter with all correct references should have been lodged with ATO and published but in practise it seems it is hidden in receivers websites and not sure anything is ever lodged by them to ATO . ATO have previously knocked me back a decade ago as the letter wasn't individualised !!!!!!! and was a generic no value statement. Bunch of tossers
Good luck and please put up what you discover and much easier to do now while Receiver still has possible income and interest rather than when it is in their non current file . Not a fan of liquidators / receivers etc
