the analysts obviously take that into consideration. its an aggregate expectation.

as we saw in those numbers from baker hughes - total number of drill rigs in North America is currently only 5% below same time last year.

so rigs are used to explore - some to produce.

What the analysts have basically outlined is they expect most of the exploration rigs to go into mothballs - but that any equipment needed to produce will stay online.

Gradually those too will increasingly go back into invesntory - but the analysts currently think iut will be 12 months before it meaningfully stunts supply growth
