Also have to remember they have deffered tax losses in play(100m+ from the 90's up until challenger come on) so they won't be paying tax on any profits for a while, effectively increasing the bottom line by 30%.
Also forgot to metion that it has only ever been stated in reports that they are forecast to exceed 100000 oz for the year, nothing more...... but even with them delivering 28k + a quarter they still only forecast that, so don't read to much into the half yearly forcast as it is not a revised forecast.
One last point- I don't think management would have issued the recent staff options at $5,$6 + to retain staff if the future was cloudy. Yes, low volume, + overall crappy market, gold is at A$1040, so perhaps a good opportunity to get a share of the company, it is not at the cheap stage yet, but the price is very fair and sometimes it is better paying a fair price for a good company rather than a good price for a fair company-W Buffet
