Why would a fund manager invest in a country like ours that’s about to discourage business activities through a carbon trading scheme when they can invest in another one (say China and India) where there are much better opportunities and growth potentials. They would be remiss if they didn’t do so – that’s the engine of capitalism and market behaviour.
