Went into first round of court ordered mediation on around 20th June and my gut says this will be hard for BAL to defend given what transpired at the time and IMO will agree to a settlement. You are right in that a final agreement could take a while but I would think that the company does not want this to continually hang over their heads and will agree to a settlement figure sometime soon. The longer it goes on the greater their legal costs will be as well.
Even though any payout amount would be covered by their insurance it would be a bit of negative publicity which MIGHT trigger a short term selling reaction.
