Regarding disclosure, it is stock held. That said, what I have left is a pittance, so either interpretation would suit.
Lawsuit in question is this one http://www.v3.co.uk/vnunet/news/2113924/world-callnet-directors-face-lawsuit
I have no defamation concerns, a court of law would find I've used reasonable terminology - I haven't definitively stated it is the same P. Boonen, but a person reading these public materials would reasonably come to that conclusion. Taking things beyond that, what exactly it all means, well that's for the reader to decide.
If you read the ARW thread (biofuels company), you will see a lot of 'director bashing' there as well, from yours truly. I wouldn't call it bashing though, but I've well and truly lost confidence in the management and their habitual non disclosure, despite the belief the company has potential. Just because I have a significant holding in that company (far greater than STI), and feel that in time it will come good, does not mean I feel the need to talk up the company, and directors, at every opportunity. Why do people take the power of positive thinking to the n-th degree?
If I had a substantial holding I would join in the shareholder group, I was very active when the former directors of OZL started playing up, and sent countless emails (and received less than satisfactory replies I might add, seemed like a waste of time).
It is funny how people are "smelling the roses" when a stock price is doing well but when the "knives" come out when a sp is falling is a little immature.
Are you talking about STI here? Excepting the transition period when Boonen took over, I'm not sure the stock price has ever done well?? I don't know about others, but my posts have very little to do with the stock price, and more to do with failure to deliver on promises (or plain misleading ann's).
For what possible reason would the stock be going up, at this point in time? You fear it's being manipulated down, yet at the same time there's no reason for it to go up. You know as well as I do that until something concrete happens, specifically breakeven cashflow or better, the price will continue floundering. Of course capital raisings reduce the price as well, this is all pretty typical stock behavior under the circumstances. Considering the monthly cashburn, it would be utterly irrational to expect the price to strengthen, excepting some good news.
Finally, you may be thinking maybe I just go around slamming all stocks (along with their directors) I hold that don't perform. Well I suggest you look at GDY and PAX. GDY is (or should I saw was..) by far my largest single holding. Been utterly smashed from $1.50 to under 20c today. PAX 15c to 2.5c. I don't think it's managements fault, I believe they acted to the best of their abilities, so you won't find me doing any 'bashing' there. If management drops the ball though..
