I suggest you go with the import/export its easy to get started and I think it will be a really fun job which involves travel and lots of "off/down time"
to give you an idea of how to get started - its all about price differences/markup. I once spent two weeks of my life scouring the internet(in between IT contracts) for Chinese manufacturers.
I found a very good quality item once that I could buy in lots of around $2000 and I could mark it up at least 200% wholesaling to other retailers and retailing with about a 500% mark-up
I found a commercial insurer that would insure the delivery.
Its not that hard and you can start small which is great
