    Stefan,

Another aspect to consider is how prepared you are to move, which i'm guessing, at your age (assuming you studying, straight out of school) you are comfortable with.

From my experience, agribusiness is a fantastic industry to work in that is also somewhat insulated from the broader economy; though only if you have the right skill set.

There are a range of interesting jobs, from the analytical side (S&D, supply chain & logistics) to trading (commodities, forex) to business development, lending, account mgmt and general management. You can generally get a lot further, much quicker, in the industry, as many with finance and analytical skills tend towards the typical investment bank path. You may not make quite as much in agri as corporate finance but your hours will be chalk and cheese with working at an investment bank and you can still achieve a 6-figure salary within a few years in agri, which for most is a good balance.

I suppose the other benefit is that there are a number of agri employers in Adelaide, which depending on your desire to relocate, may play a part.

Good luck with whatever you do and i would always look to get some work experience before you commit to something like a masters. The sooner you get experience, the sooner you can start building your name in the industry and becoming employable for the higher positions. Except for specialist degrees, a masters is not a particularly valuable commodity, without supporting work experience.
