What it will mean for us if PLS is bought out?

There seems to be talk of this every few days so I thought it might be worth starting a thread to answer peoples questions around this subject so that if and when the time comes we all have a general understanding of what is going on.

Having not been invested in a company thats undergone this process I have a few questions of my own so I will start:

- Will the shareprice likely rise/ fall / remain unchanged ( i realise predicting SP is impossible , but in general what do we suppose is the likely outcome?)

- Are holders forced to sell there and then or does trading proceed as normal?

- Would it likely be a situation where we need to make a split decision to sell or hold even if we had intended on being long term holders when we initially bought in?

- Overall do we think it would be a good thing for this to happen to PLS ( or does it depend on the conditions at the time?)
